This grizzly drawing was based on a photo I took in 2005 of a captive grizzly at the West Yellowstone Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. The drawing was done in graphite pencil with the goal of exploring the various textures found in the rough coat of a male grizzly.
This drawing is the sixth in a series of larger drawings of the fauna of the Northern Rockies. This open edition drawing is available in two sizes: 16"x20" and 11"x14" frame sizes. Both are produced as archival, pigment-based prints on 100% cotton rag fine art paper. |
