This was a drawing that I completed as part of a Botanical Illustration class through the Montana Natural History Center. It was drawn from a pine cone I collected last year. Logepole Pines are my favorite pine as they represent adaptation shaped by fire. This little cone seems so small yet so rugged which I guess is the reason I chose this as the project for the class.
