Not only did we have just as much fun as Yellowstone, there is actually quite a bit more to do in and around Jackson, Wyoming. Our first day in Grand Tetons resulted in the following picture. The day was absolutely beautiful; around 75 degrees and just a few cotton ball clouds in the sky. It is hard to do the Tetons justice with 35mm film, much less film processed for the Internet. As you drive down the road running through the center of Jackson Hole, the mountains are so big and so far away, they make you feel a little disoriented. There aren't a lot of places in the Midwest that can match that feeling. Ansel Adams made a very famous photograph that photographs have attempted to replicate countless times. Instead of attempting and failing to replicate a master's interpretation of the Teton Range, I decided to go for my own approach. I was very pleased with the results from Schwabacher Landing.
